My name is Goodwin, and I am a clinical social work intern nearing the completion of my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. As an emerging practitioner, I am excited to embark on the therapeutic journey with my clients, collaborating closely to identify and achieve their unique goals.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), but I firmly believe in the importance of tailoring my approach to meet the individual needs of each client. I recognize that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, and I am committed to adapting my techniques and strategies to best suit each person’s unique circumstances and personality.
Creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment is of utmost importance to me. I strive to foster a space where my clients feel comfortable and empowered to be their authentic selves, expressing their thoughts and emotions openly and honestly without fear of judgment. I believe that building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, and respect is essential for achieving positive outcomes in therapy.
In addition to addressing challenges and promoting symptom reduction, I am passionate about helping my clients identify and leverage their strengths and sources of resilience. I believe that everyone possesses inner strengths and capabilities that can be harnessed to overcome obstacles and achieve personal growth. By recognizing and utilizing these strengths, my clients can develop greater self-efficacy and resilience, leading to lasting positive change.
I am dedicated to ongoing learning and professional development, and I am committed to providing my clients with the highest quality of care. I am excited to continue growing as a therapist and supporting my clients on their paths toward healing and well-being.
